From soups to salads to chilis, there’s no shortage of ways to use classic Yupik Organic Brown Lentils! Brown lentils are dried, dark, whole legumes. Earthy and mild in flavor, brown lentils are also tender in texture. Cooked brown lentils can be used as an alternative to meat in recipes to create vegetarian meals; they can also be used as an addition to salads and soups. Brown lentils blend or mash easily to add texture, thickness, and depth to recipes. For best cooking results: 1. Rinse & Drain 2. Add to boiling unsalted water and cook (15-20 mins red lentils, 30-40 Beluga, French, Green & Black Lentils) 3. Season the water once the lentils are soft.
